Middle East
We have been active in the Middle East since 1948. We believe that increased exploration and production activity in the Middle East will continue to be the primary factor influencing the construction of new energy transportation systems in that region.
In Iraq, the rehabilitation of the oil sector offers significant opportunities albeit with additional risks. The majority of future transportation projects in the region are expected to be centered around natural gas, due to increased regional demand, governments’ recognition of gas as an important asset and an underdeveloped gas transportation infrastructure throughout the region. We are pursuing business opportunities throughout the Middle East and are currently bidding work or monitoring prospects in Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Our operating unit in Oman, The Oman Construction Company, has been active there continuously since 1965 and has established itself as an efficient, safety-oriented provider of maintenance, construction and EPC services.
