Willbros Group, Inc (www.willbros.com) acquired InServ in 2007 to diversify its services across the hydrocarbon value chain. The acquisition significantly expanded the financial resources and addressable geographic market for InServ, and provided Willbros, who already had significant presence in the upstream and midstream segments, opportunities to expand into recurring operations, maintenance and capital projects in the downstream markets. Willbros also acquired Wink Engineering in 2009 to enhance downstream operations by adding engineering capabilities to provide fully integrated service delivery, including engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), and program management.
