Willbros operations in the Middle East date back to 1948. The company has worked in most of the countries in the region, with particularly heavy involvement in Iran, Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia. The Willbros subsidiary in Oman, The Oman Construction Co. (“TOCO”), has operated continually in that market since 1965 and has been a consistently profitable operation for Willbros. TOCO provides oil field maintenance services, field gathering and processing construction, mainline EPC pipeline and maintenance, and currently provides maintenance services to Oman LNG under a five-year contract. TOCO also offers specialty services such as rig moves and heavy hauling.
